Finding your wedding dress is a pretty big deal.

It’s one of those moments you’ve probably pictured a hundred times… and then when it finally happens, it can feel exciting, emotional, and honestly… a little overwhelming.

If you’re just starting to shop, I wanted to put together a list of some of my favorite bridal shops around Huntsville. I photograph a lot of Alabama brides, so I hear all the stories—where they found their dress, who made them feel comfortable, and where they had the best experience.

Here are a few places worth checking out.

Birch On Main

If you want that boutique experience where you don’t feel rushed, Birch On Main is a great place to start. They carry beautiful designer gowns, and I’ve heard over and over how sweet their team is. They really make it feel like it’s your day.

Amari Bridal

Love designer dresses but not designer prices?

Amari Bridal specializes in off-the-rack gowns, so if you’re hoping to save some money (because let’s be honest… weddings are expensive), definitely put this one on your list.

Modern Brides

Modern Brides has been around forever, and there’s a reason for that. They have a huge selection and have helped Huntsville brides for years. If you’re not exactly sure what style you’re looking for yet, this is a great place to try on a little bit of everything.

David’s Bridal

Sometimes people skip over David’s Bridal because it’s a bigger chain, but honestly, they have a ton of options. Different price points, lots of sizes, accessories, shoes… it’s an easy place to knock several things off your wedding checklist.

Kathleen’s Bridal

Just over in Madison, Kathleen’s Bridal is another favorite. They have gowns, bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, accessories… pretty much everything you need in one place.

A Few Tips Before You Go Dress Shopping

🤍 Make an appointment. Saturdays fill up fast.

🤍 Wear nude underwear and bring a strapless bra if you have one.

🤍 Don’t bring eight opinions with you. Two or three people you trust is plenty.

🤍 Keep an open mind. I’ve lost count of how many brides told me, “I bought the exact opposite of what I thought I wanted.”

🤍 Remember alterations are almost always part of the budget.
